    Robert C. Frakes, 71, of Caruthersville, died April 10, 1989 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis.

    Born May 17, 1917 in Stelle, he was the son of Robert Elery and Virginia Mary Jane Still Frakes.

    He was superintendent of Caruthersville Water Department.

    He is surivived by his wife, Mrs. Maggie Hall Frakes of Caruthersville; one son, David; one daughter, Jennifer Sue; one brother, Arvie Glen Frankes; one sister, Marilyn Frakes Quinn; one niece, Onita Ledford; an aunt, Bessie Dupeck; and one grandson, Hunter Hopkins.

    Services were April 12, at 2 PM at Dean Funeral Home chapel in Caruthersville, the Rev. Elmer Brunton officiating, with burial in Pemiscot Memorial Gardens.

    Pallbearers were Norman Howell, Earl Bullington, Virgil Edwards, Comelius Robinson, Carl Tipton, Floyd Drew, Otwon Cobb, B. F. "Hot" Rogers and Dee Barnes.
