"Robert Eames, of Woburn after 1651, died there July 30, 1712. He had previously been a resident of Charlestown. His wife Elizabeth died at Woburn, Mar. 22, 1710. His first homestead at Woburn Center he sold in 1697 to his son John. He owned lots in Woburn at Boggy Field, 1694, where he had a house. This estate was in the well-known Eames neighborhood, on New Boston Street, where members of the family have resided for upwards of two centuries. It is possible that he was the Robert Eames who was a soldier in King Philip's war, 1676, with Capt. Henchman."
