Rome Sentinel, May 2009: ROBERT R. COLLINS North Bay-- Robert R. Collins, 74, of Mulholland RD, passed away May 9, 2009 at his home. He was born March 18, 1935 in Oneida, a son of Harold R. and Alice M. Brierre Collins. Robert was a Camden High School Graduate, class of 1953 and served in the U.S. Marine Corps. Robert was employed at Oneida Molded Plastics and Oneida Limited before retiring in the mid 1980's. Fishing was one of Robert's biggest enjoyments in life. Bob shared his knowledge and passion for fishing with many good friends over the years. Many of his fondest memories were fishing and hunting with his buddies. All his friends have a special place is his heart. He also had the greatest love for all his cats he ever owned. The family would like to give a special thank you to Gary Collins who helped in so many ways, the North Bay Vol. Fire Dept. and others, too numerous to mention, that have visited, brought meals, shoveled roofs, mowed the lawn and everything else, thank you all! Surviving are a brother, Harold "Dick" Collins, North Bay; two nieces, Amy Uvanni, Rome, Monica and Mike DeCarlo, North Bay; nephew, Richard S. "Scotty" Collins, New Hampshire; and his cousin, Gary Collins, Westdale.
