Daily Times-News, The Thursday, June 09, 1966 Richard FREEMAN (Doc) ISLEY died in a local hospital this morning at 1 o'clock following several years of failing health. He was a native of Alamance County, son of the late Milton A. and Minnie Moore ISLEY. Survivors include his wife, Mrs.. Vivian Foster ISLEY of the home; three daughters, Mrs.. J. W. Burwell of High Point. Mrs.. Howard G. Core of Burlington and Mrs.. Arnold H. Ward of Roanoke, Va.; three sons, Richard FREEMAN ISLEY Jr.., and Harold ISLEY, both of Burlington; and Donald ISLEY of N. Wilkesboro; 13 grandchildren; two brothers, Ernest A. ISLEY and H. Curry ISLEY, both of Burlington. The body will remain at Rich and Thompson Mortuary in Burlington pending completion of funeral arrangements. Visitation will begin at 11 o'clock Friday morning. The family will be at the mortuary Friday from 7 to 9 p.m.
