Gentry, Richard - born 12/27/1755 in Lunenburg County, Virginia; entered service 1780 in Union District, South Carolina, resided near Tiger River; granted Pension 1832 in Rockcastle County, Kentucky, where he died 2/13/1836; married 1792/3 to Justine/Gestin, daughter of Ayres Hedgespeth, Surry County, North Carolina; widow granted Pension age 70 in Rockcastle County, Kentucky, in 1839; query letter in file in 1930 from J.J. Gentry, Spartanburg, South Carolina, grandson of Samuel Gentry who was born abt. 1765 in Lunenburg County, Virginia. F-W8844, R1061.
