I suspect that Rebecca was the first-born girl, named after her maternal grandmother. Her sister, Mary, probably named for her paternal grandmother, Mary, has been estimated to have been born in 1777. A birth year of 1775 also makes biological sense if Rebecca is, indeed, the mother of Mary Somers, b. 1795.
