    "To the Memory of Mrs. Rebecca Reeves

    She died at the home of uncle Jack Calks. She was about 50 years old. We buried her remains at Cedar Grove grave yard near Holmesville on the 20th. Sister Reeves was a member of the Concord Missionary Baptist Church. The writer preached the funeral in the little meeting house in the Cedar Grove. .. the God of Glory comfort .. the bereaved relatives and friends. - Rev. John L. Hicks"
