Funeral Services For E D Reeves Held At Marion
Marion, La., Oct. 18. - Mr. E. D. Reeves, 82, one of the oldest citizens of this community, died at his residence two miles west of Marion Sunday, after an illness of several weeks. Funeral services were held from the residence Monday by the Rev. Thurmon Spinks, pastor of the Marion Methodist church, of which church the deceased had been a devoted member for more than 40 years.
Mr. Reeevs (sic) was a native of Mississippi, moving to this community as a child with his parents and he has lived here practically all his life. Besides his widow he is survived by seven children as follows: S. L. Reeves, Mrs. W. J. Remore and Mrs. J. C. Allen, all of Marion; Mrs. Ed Buckley of Oakland; Dr. C. Reeves of Strong, Ark; E. K. Reeves and M. O. Reeves of Monroe.
Interment was in Concord cemetery two miles west of Marion.
