  14. "COOK-Rebecca Cook was born Feb. 7, 1812 in Dauphin Co. Pa., and departed this life Feb. 27, 1899, at her home 3 1/2 miles east of Bucyrus, O., aged 87 y. and 20 d. Mother Cook was successively the wife of three husbands, and the mother of 11 children. The first marriage, with Jacob Cochard, was blessed with 2 children, one of whom, with the father, preceded her in death. Two of the 9 children born to her as the wife of Jacob Ronk, also with the father preceded her in death. In her marriage with George Cook she resumed the responsible position of a stepmother of 8 children, which duty she preferred with great fidelity. Eight years ago she was again left a sorrowing widow by the death of Bro. Cook. There are left to mourn her departure, 8 children, 7 stepchildren, 33 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren and a large circle of other relatives and friends. About 60 years ago she was converted and joined the Evangelical Association in Pennsylvania. About 55 years ago she, with her family moved to OH. She was a faithful and devoted mother and Christian.
