Facts and Events
Not much is known about Raymond except that he was blond. The doctor declared that he died from infantile paralysis. However, his father, John Marzolf, didn’t believe that was the cause. Apparently, Raymond had gone through a hedge fence and gotten scratched. John Marzolf believed something got into the scratches and the wound got infected. According to his younger sister, Virginia, it wasn’t long after Raymond went through the hedge fence that he died (perhaps a matter of a few days). Hedge fences were made of plants with thorns on them. They were planted instead of fences being built of wood. |
