Perlina went to Fulton, Illinois after her first husband John died and remarried and had two more children. From Derby items in Chariton Herald; Thursday, Jan. 19, 1893: “Died Wednesday January 11th 1893 at 11 o’clock after a lingering illness of about eight weeks. Mrs. Perlina Wilson aged 87 years. The remains were laid to rest Thursday afternoon in the Goshen Cemetary. The deceased was the mother of G.W. and Jolen [John?] Snooks and Rebecca Semit of this place. Deceased was born in Quebec, Canada and moved from that place to Illinois where she resided til came to Iowa in 1860 and since resided with her children.”
