    Phyllis J. Hosler Died Nov. 14, 1988 Traverse City -
    Phyllis J. Hosler, 60, of Traverse City, died Friday at Munson Medical Center.
    A cake decorator for Potter's Bakery for 23 years, she lived all her life in Traverse City.
    She was born June 4, 1928, in Traverse City, to Otto and Lavina (Phillips) Pike. On June 4, 1948, in Traverse City, she married Robert J. Hosler, who survives.
    Also surviving are three sons, Robert Hosler Jr. of Romeo, Mitchel A. Hosler of Traverse City and Michael L. Hosler, serving with the U.S. Air Force in England; five sisters, Pauline Lamprose of Allegan, Judy Mallwitz of Traverse City, Mary Jordan of Texas, Joyce Hemper of Kingsley and Nancy Hancock of Missouri; a brother, Richard Bolek of Traverse City; eight grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
    She was preceded in death by two sons, David L. Hosler and James D. Hosler.
    Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home. Dr. Howard Towne will officiate. Burial will be in Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens.
    Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.
    Memorials may be directed to the Michigan Kidney Foundation or the American Cancer Society.
