Telegraph Herald (Dubuque, IA) - June 1, 2008 COGGON, Iowa - Phillip J. Tinker, 85, of Coggon, died Friday, May 30, 2008, at the Edgewood Convalescent Home, following a short illness. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 2, at St. John's Catholic Church, Coggon, with the Rev. Wayne Droessler officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Coggon. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Central City, where the rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. He was born on Aug. 11, 1922, in Greeley, son of Edward and Margaret (Wiley) Tinker. Phillip was a self-employed truck driver for many years primarily hauling livestock for the Coggon sale barn. Surviving are two brothers, Jack (Gladys) Tinker, of Manchester, and Frank (Shirley) Tinker, of Sun Prairie, Wis.; a sister, Mary Ellen Capesius, of La Motte; and several nieces and nephews.
