Vinton Memorial, Comprising a Genealogy of the Descendants of John Vinton of Lynn, 1648, p. 28, suspects that Phebe "appears to have died young", probably because the father's probate file (Middlesex Probate 60820) contains no mention of her, but it contains no division or other comprehensive list of heirs at all. No other Phebe Vinton is found, and she is such a good fit, being of the right age, and living in the right town (her father moved there by 1738), that she is certainly the person who m. Jacob Chamberlain.
