[from 3/23/96 conversation with Alice Shakespeare Tompkins]: -- she boarded with the Drumm's in 1926, while she was teaching at PeaBrook school -- remembers that both were very nice -- only Elton and Isabelle were still living at home -- Frank was a carpenter, handyman -- Eliza was dark-skinned, small and a good cook -- Frank seemed to be the disciplinarian -- they had horses -- Evelyn Drumm and Fred Shakespeare were the same age, played together -- to get to Pea Brook, Alice took a train from Hancock to Long Eddy andthen had to walk ~4 miles on a dirt road to the Drumm house

Frank Drumm, for about 50 years a resident of the town of Hancock, diedon July 4, 1933 at the Binghamton City Hospital after an illness of 6weeks. He was a carpenter by trade and for the last 5 years lived in thevillage of Hancock.

Mr. Drumm was taken to the hospital June 8 suffering from injuries to hischest received last spring while employed by the Town of Hancock. Frankwas born at Fishs Eddy on Sept 6, 1879, a son of Andrew and LouiseEdwards Drumm.

The family spent about 48 years on a farm at Pea Brook, near Long Eddy.The surviving family includes the widow Eliza Drumm, sons Harold, Douglasand Elton and daughters Lucy and Isabelle besides two grandchildrenRobert and Evelyn. Mr. Drumm was a member of the Pea Brook MethodistChurch and the Macabee fraternity. The funeral was held at the Pea Brookchurch and burial in Riverview cemetery.
