    Thanks for taking a few minutes to respond to my most recent email concerning the Ambrose clan. I am a descendent of Daniel Ambrose,

William Henry Ambrose's youngest son and William being one of 5 children of Mathias Ambrose and his second wife, Catherine Spongh/Spohn.

My primary focus into the research on my Ambrose ancestors, pertains to the Ambrose men..as well as the collateral side (men who married Ambrose women) who served in the Confederate and Union army. However, I have also decided to obtain other pertinent information on the Ambrose clan members...such as ..where some were born..type of work...where they lived...how and why they moved from one county or state to another... as well as to fill in the blanks...so and so married so and so...but no other information. And I am continue to seek info on one Ambrose hoping to discover if that person might have some info on another Ambrose..in essence to gather the information from the "Back Door or thru a window so to speak." Currently, I am working nights..so maybe later this week we can exchange info at length.
