    Many friends of Mrs. J. W. German in Kittitas County were shocked and grieved to hear of her death which occurred Tuesday morning at her home on the Colockum Pass Road about 12 miles from Ellensburg. She was the wife of J. W. German, former county commissioner and had a large number of friends in this county.

    Mrs. German was 53 years of age and was a native of Kittitas County and spent her entire life in this valley. She is survived by her husband J. W. German; one son, Grover C. German; two sisters, Mrs. C. C. Churchill of Ellensburg, and Mrs. Amos Tupper of Wenatchee; three brothers, Alva Houser of Wenatchee, and Clarence and Harrison Houser.

    Funeral services will be conducted at the Methodist Church this afternoon, Rev. W. B. Young officiating. Mrs. German was a member of the local Rebekah Lodge.

    Mrs. German leaves a large number of sorrowing friends. She was a lovable woman and possessed the traits so much admired in the American mother. Many are those who received kindnesses at the hands of Mrs. German and her sweet disposition endeared her to all who knew her. She will be greatly missed and the sorrowing relatives have the sympathy of a large number of friends.
