Obituary - Topeka paper, no date Mrs. Pearl Reb, sister of E. R. Smith of 1500 Buchanan, died Friday in Hyattsville, Maryland. She was born in Havensville, and grew up near Onaga. Later the family moved to Baldwin, Kansas where the children attended school. Other survivors are her husband, Louis; a son, Everett; a daughter, Christine; and two grandchildren, all of Hyattsville, MD. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Tuesday at the Chapel Methodist Church in Baldwin.
Obituary - THE ONAGA HERALD, March 20, 1952 Pearl Havens Smith was born in Havensville, Kansas, Feb. 4, 1878, the daughter of Henry J. and Francina Smith. She was a teacher for twelve years in the schools of Pottawatomie and Marshall counties. In 1913 she was married to Louis C. Reb, to which union two children were born, Christine Lenore and Everett Louis. She made her home on a farm near Frankfort and in Frankfort until 1930, when they moved to Baldwin, Kansas so that their children might attend Baker University. For the past several years her home was in Riverdale, Illinois, with her daughter, but the past year she was keeping a home for her son and children in Hyattsville, Maryland. She passed away there on March 14, 1952, after a brief illness. Surviving are her husband, Louis C., daughter, Christine, son Everett, grandchildren, Roberta and Richard and brother, E. R. Smith, of Topeka. Interment was at Baldwin, Kansas
