  Bert and Eunice farmed the home place in Vienna Township and cared for his parents there until they retired and moved to Onaga.  They belonged to the Methodist Church.  He worked for the local hardware store in Onaga until the time of his death.  Eunice worked in the high school cafeteria after Bert's death.  They are buried in Vienna Cemetery beside Bert's parents Henry J. and Francina.
