    Paul Andrew Spudic Sr., 80, of Port Monmouth, N.J., formerly of Rimersburg, died Friday, Sept. 24, 1999, in Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank, N.J. He had resided in Far Rockaway, N.Y., and Red Bank, N.J., prior to moving 14 years ago to Port Monmouth. Born May 5, 1919, in Rimersburg, he was a son of Joseph and Mary Ann BICANICH Spudic. Mr. Spudic was a graduate of Union High School in Rimersburg, attended Clarion State College and graduated from UCLA in Los Angeles, Calif. He was a veteran of World War II, serving as a staff sergeant in the Army Air Corpss from 1940 to 1946 in the South Spcific. Mr. Spudic was employed as a claims clerk by Dan River Corp. of New York, N.Y., retiring there. He was a member of St. Mary Roman Catholic Church in Middletown, N.J., the Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus Vince Lombadi Council, Knights of Columbus Council of Leonardo, N.J., and the Knights of Columbus Maris Steela Council of Far Rockaway, N.Y. Mr. Spudic also was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2179 of Port Monmouth, N.J., the American Legion Post No. 0338 of Leonardo, N.J., and the Croatian Fraternal Union. He was married Sept. 1, 1947, to the former Alma MALONE, who died in 1990. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Lee (Eileen) BEAUMONT of Middletown, N.J.; four sons, Paul A. Spudic Jr. of Middletown, N.J., Stephen Spudic and his wife, Cindy, of Ocean Township, N.J., Michael Spudic of Forest Hills, N.Y., and Joseph Spudic and his wife, Emma, of Port Monmouth, N.J.; and three grandchildren, Nicole and Ricky Beaumont of Middletown and Kenneth Spudic of Port Monmouth. He also is survived by four sisters, Ann YURKOVIC of Clarview Nursing & Rehabilitation Center at Sligo RD 1, Mildren McNAUGHTON of Rimersburg, Rose SEIGWORTH of Knox, and Dorothy KATICH of Coraopolis. In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Spudic was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary WIENCEK and an infant, Amanda Spudic; and three brothers, George Spudic and Frank Spudic and an infant, John Spudic. Mass of Christian Burail was celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 28, in St. Mary Roman Catholic Church in Middletown, N.J., with Father Keating, pastor, as the presider. Interment was in Holmdel Cemetery in Holmdel, N.J. The John F. Pfleeger Funeral Home in Middletown, N.J., was in charge of arrangements.
