    Paul Lynam
    An Independence man, Paul A. Lyman died Thursday night, October 4, in a Tulsa, Oklahoma hospital after a long illness. He was 61.
    Mr. Lynam worked for ANCO Manufacturing and Supply in Tulsa and lived in Independence.
    He was born in Elk County on October 12, 1910 and he married Martha Albers Lynam on November 24, 1967.
    Survivors include his widow, Martha of the home; one daughter, Elizabeth Bantz of Howard, three stepsons, Daryl Mott and William Mott of Wichita and Timothy Mott of Grand Island, Nebraska; two stepdaughters, Marcia Birchfield of Neodesha and Gloria Meadows, Independence. Mr Lynam is also survived by one brother Ralph Lynam, Moline; three sisters, Edith Durbin and Grace Derby of Moline and Rena Robinson, Wichita, eight granddaughters and one grandson.
    Mr. Lynam was a member of the Methodist church in Moline and the Masonic Lodge in Electra, Texas.
    Services were held Sunday, October 8th, at 2:30 p.m. in the Watt Funeral Home, Moline. The Rev. Roy L. Brown of Howard United Methodist Church officiated. Interment was in the Moline Cemetery.
