In Alfred, N. Y., March 29th, 1868, Mr. Paris Green, in the 82d year of his age. Bro. Green had been a citizen of Alfred some fifty-two years. He was a man of real worth, but for many years had been deprived of the privileges of active life, on account of sickness, resulting in the total loss of eyesight. He was a man of sound judgment and guided his affairs with discretion. He united with those constituting the Second Seventh-day Baptist Church of Alfred, at its organization, and retained his membership until death. In his sickness his love remained strong toward God, and his faith in Jesus Christ was unshaken in his dying hour. N. V. H.
