I don't recall much about Great Grandma Olive. Her last days were lived in Salt Lake City. In the 1950's and 60's, my mother, dad and I used to visit SLC from Phoenix every summer in my youth. I recall making a trip to her home once during each summer visit. She was very old, in her 90's. As a child, I hoped she lived to 100. It was selfish. I wanted to know someone who made triple digits. She did not make it that far.

I recall a writeup in an SLC newspaper about her. She had an old, stand-in-the-corner, wooden cabinet radio and always listend to the New York Yankee baseball games. She was a passionate fan. It was a good time to be a Yankee fan, they won the Series many years during her life time. The write up mentioned she even kept box scores of every game. It was part entertainment and part hobby.

I did not attend the funeral when she past. I was in Phoenix, about age 13.

From New.FamilySearch.com, Olive outlived eight of her ten children, including her son, Dr. John Llewellyn, my grandfather.
