Dr. Dan Eischen and Dr. Gary Harber will officiate with interment to follow in Adair Cemetery under the direction Key Funeral Home of Pryor.

He was born July 12, 1916 in Miami to Clinton Rowe and Winifred Mae (Creekmure) Jackson. He died Nov. 14, 1999 in Pryor.

He was a longtime resident of Adair, having lived there since he was 4 years old. He graduated from Adair High School in 1935 and joined the Civilian Conservation Corps. During World War II, he worked at the powder plant.

On Dec. 24, 1940, he married Ida Belle Hunter at the Adair First United Methodist Church parsonage.

He retired from MidAmerica Yarnmill where he was maintenance supervisor. He also was a farmer and carpenter. He was considered a master craftsman, having constructed four grandfather clocks, a rolltop desk and the altar furniture in his church. He also loved to garden, with his produce considered second to none. His friends would receive more of the produce than he would keep for himself.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Adair and loved to gather with his friends at the lumber company. He was a loving and caring person. His grandchildren, whom he loved dearly, always called him "Pop", a nickname given to him by one of his sons.

Survivors include his wife of over 58 years, Ida of the home; three sons, [living] Jackson of Adair, [Living] Jackson of Bixby, and Jim and [living] Jackson of Lawton; one sister, [living] of Friday Harbor, Wash.; two grandchildren, [living] of Burkburnett, Texas and [living] of Dallas; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by both parents; one brother, Ralph Jackson; and two sisters, Katherine Falls and Eileen Clagett.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. this evening at the funeral home chapel in Pryor.
