"Nicholas Tully (John), born probably in Surrey, about 1572, died after 1604. He married about 1595, _____ _____. Nicholas Tully was apparently the eldest son of John and the only child who remained in Horley. In 1604, Margaret Tully and Nicholas Tully appear in the church seats 'for lands called Stiveldes' and in this same year, Nicholas was a Churchwarden. The accounts of the church do not mention any other Tullys. In the will of that John Tully who married Sarah Fenner, he mentions his brother William and his sister Martha. The baptisms give a William Tully, a John Tully and a Martha Tully, the parent's name being omitted. Undoubtedly they are the children of Nicholas. If Nicholas died testate, his will has not been published."
