That census pg 92 also shows Lilburn and Nancy; William B. and Sarah Thrapp. Also, pg 49 shows Marcus Thrapp,35, and Sarah,27 (plus children). See www.familysearch.org 1999 (Mar 22) IGI report batch # M512971 of Barbara Thrap, spouse Newton B. Thrap married 31 Jan. 1839 at Putnam Co., OH. I could not obtain data of author or documentation in that report.

Allen Co., OH Bibliographical History, page 516 tells how Newton was taken to Licking Co. by his father in1820 and when about age 22 went with his father to the wilderness of Putnam County, OH. He was self-educated with books. At age 27 he married Barbara Chambers. Pg 517 of Allen County, OH Biographical History says that he was a Democrat, but in 1856 voted for Gen. John C. Freemont as president and remained a Republican thereafter. Served as township trustee and member of the school board.
Two of his sons enlisted at Findlay, OH and served in the Union army, Co. D. 99th OH Vol. Infantry. Milton was shot at the Battle of Chickamauga and died later of those wounds at age 24. In 1889 he moved to Bluffton, OH where he retired until death at age 84 (with good facilties and wearing glasses only to read).

Mary Lou Clegg reported his marriage to Barbara Chambers as 31 Jan 1839 in Putnam Co., OH. LDS Family History film #0915773 shows Newton Baker Thrapp married Barbara Thrap 31 Jan 1839 at Putnam Co., OH. My files show photos (given with identification by Janice Reddin of Findlay, OH to me during visit there) of both Newton Baker and wife, Barbara Thrapp.
