"Rezin Judd was born Dec. 26, 1798, in Mason county, Ky., and taken when a child to Clermont county, Ohio. He was married, in the adjoining county of Brown, Jan. 3, 1822, to Eve Shinkle, who was born in that county Dec. 2, 1804. They had two children, and moved to Sangamon county, Ill., arriving in the fall of 1826, in what is now Clear Lake township, where his brothers, Ezekiel and Corban, had settled the year before... Nelson S., born Oct. 22, 1825, in Brown county, Ohio, married in Sangamon county, Nov. 15, 1849, to Susan Miller, who was born April 20, 1831, in Champaign county, Ohio.  There are marriage records for Nelson Judd to Cyntha Webb in 1847 and to Susannah Miller in 1849, both in Sangamon Co.

  In the 1880 census for Clear Lake, Sangamon Co., Illinois, Nelson Judd is 54, born Ohio (parents Pennsylvania).  His wife Susan is 50 from Ohio (parents Virginia).  Their children are Lizzie, 27; George W., 23; and Mary, 20 -- all born in Illinois.  His in-laws are Nathan Miller, retired farmer age 76 from Virginia, and Annie Miller, 'boarding with daughter', age 74 from Virginia. {p.262b, NARA T9-0248}
