Mrs Robert Asa Muir
Mrs. Nellie Muir, 88, Hollenberg, Kas, formerly of Salina, died at the Freed Nursing Home, Fairbury, Neb., Monday. She had lived at the nursing home the past three months. Prior to that time she lived 29 years at Hollenberg.
Mrs Muir was born Oct 12, 1871, in Nebraska City, Neb. and was married to Robert Asa Muir, Salina, April 6, 1892. Her father, Thomas Grant, was the contractor who built St. John's Military school and the H. D. Lee Mercantile Company's building. The Muir's lived on a farm north of Salina until 1931 when they moved to Hollenberg. Mr Muir died Dec 17, 1959.
Surviving are two sons, Harry, Ft Collins, Colo, and Ralph, Hollenberg, six grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and one sister Mrs. Anna Amrein, Ponca City, Okla.
Mrs. Muir was a member of the Methodist Church.
The funeral will be Friday at 10:30 am at the Hollenberg Methodist Church, the Rev. Walter Grist, Washington, Kas, officiating. Graveside services will be at 3 pm Friday in Gypsum Hill cemetery. The Guy R. Ryan Sons Mortuary is in charge of the local arrangements.
