Obituary

Mrs. Nellie E. Baird

Funeral services for Mrs. Nellie E. Baird, 89, formerly of Crawford and Richland counties, were held Saturday afternoon from the Barkdull Funeral Home, Shelby. Rev. R. W. [Ralph Woodrow "Woody"] Faulkner of Lima, a nephew, officiated and burialwas in Shelby's Oakland cemetery. She died early Thursday morning (Feb 29) in Paulding county hospital, where she had been a patient for 17 days. She had been living in Paulding the past two years with her son, Keith E. Baird.

Mrs. Baird lived for a number of years in Mansfield. She went to Florida three years ago and lived there for approximately one year.

Born in Crawford county Dec 1, 1878, Mrs. Baird was a daughter of John [mistake, should be William Henry Faulkner] and Elizabeth Blackman Faulkner. She was the widow of Charles E. Baird, Plymouth township, Richland county farmer.

Surviving are three sons, Virgil C. of Shelby, Dr. E. C. Baird of Tulsa, Okla., and Keith E. of Paulding; a sister, Mrs. Julia Perkins of Findlay; a brother, Fred Faulkner of Tampa, Fla.; nine grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. A daughter, Mrs. Roene Weister, preceded her in death.
