↑ The estimated birth date of about 1616 is based on the age at death being 90 as reported in Savage and Perley and others. The basis for this is unknown as the death record gives no age at death. Nathaniel is reputed to have come to Salem in 1633 as a 17 year old, which may be the reason for supposing an age of 90, and he supposedly deposed just before his death that he had lived in Salem 72 years, but Anderson does not have an entry for him in either GMB study (i.e., not on p. 664 of "Begins", widowed mother came "by 1636" p. 3:515 of "Continues").
