    In the HISTORY OF Levan book, it states that George and Sarah and family came from Deseret Ut. to Levan in May of 1868. his brothers Isaac and Nathan Pierce also lived there. George and Sarah built their home on block 37 ( a map showing where it was across the street from my G grandfather William Dye ) They planted the first fruit and nut trees in Levan, that had been secured from the Skinner farm in Provo, In 1869 Isaac was appointed lieutenant of the Elmer military Co, against the Indians. Isaac Pierce was also the school teacher and also taught dancing in a evening school. He was the reporter that reported the damage from the grasshoppers in the Deseret News.
