Note: Nancy Vicars, born in Washington County, Maryland in about 1780, has been listed by some researchers as a daughter of Robert Vicars (1747-1821) and his wife Lydia Jackson, both of Virginia, but she is clearly NOT listed in the will of that Robert Vicars, making this claim unfounded (Robert had another daughter named Nancy that married a Thomas Burton). There is likely a Vicars family in Maryland that she is linked to, but additional research is necessary to prove her parentage.
