About Nancy

Research

It's clear that Joseph's wife was named Nancy. But there are conflicting records about Nancy's maiden name. A marriage certificate for Joseph Richardson Nancy and lists Nancy's last name as Roberson.[1] And the date of the marriage makes sense, given the known birth years of Joseph and Nancy.

But other researchers have concluded that her last name is Randles.[2] Yet it's likely that researcher has confused this Nancy and Joseph Richardson with a Joseph Richardson and Nancy Randles who were married later, in 1871.[8]
