    "Mrs. Nancy Needham Stoddard, wife of Norton Stoddard, passed away at her home in High street after a brief illness of pneumonia Saturday about noon. She was the daughter of Edward and Sarah Needham and was born March 1, 1836. She married Norton Stoddard in October, 1874. She passed most of her life on the old Needham farm near this village, now occupied by John Howe, where she was favorably known. Surviving are her aged husband; one sister, Mrs. Jane Austin, of Watertown, and several neices. Her funeral was held from her late home Monday at 1:30 p. m., Rev. J. M. Turner officiating."
