I, Marie E. Boswell, Chief Deputy Clerk of the Superior Court of Greene County, Georgia, do hereby certify that the within is a true and exact copy of the original record in the office of the Clerk of Said County and is true as to spelling, punctuation and syntax. Hereto I set my hand and affix the seal of this Court this 15th day of May, 1992. Signed Mary E. Boswell - Presented to Walter R. Hubbard a retired police chief of Camden, AlabamaS1 who passed the information on to me, as it appears below.
This Indenture made this Twentieth day of December Eighteen hundred and thirty one Between James Hubbard of the County and state aforesaid of the one part and Cynthia Hubbard of the same county & state of the other part Witnesseth that the said James Hubbard for and in consideration of the sum of Twenty nine dollars to him in hand paid at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted Bargained sold and conveyed and do by these presents Grant bargain sell and convey unto the said Cynthia Hubbard her heirs and assigns all that tract or parcel of land situate lying & being in the County aforesaid containing fourteen Acres more or less Beginning at a stake on Hubbard’s line running with the old road formerly to Joseph Jones line to a stake thence with said Jone’s line to a persimmon thence with the said Hubbard line to a Gum thence with the line of said Hubbard to the Beginning Corner Also all my right and interest in the land at present owned by my mother Elizabeth Ann Hubbard it being her Dower as part of one hundred and Ten Acres of land owned by my Father Samuel Hubbard and at her death will be the right of myself and William A. Williams in right of his wife Nancy Williams formerly Nancy Hubbard my interest in said land at my mother’s Elizabeth Ann Hubbard’s death I do hereby convey for the sum of twenty Dollars in hand paid together with the tract first set forth in this deed unto Cynthia Hubbard her heirs & assigns forever in fee simple against the Claim of myself my heirs or against the Claim of all person or persons whatsoever In terms of General Warrantee title.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and date above written interlined before assigned, Signed James Hubbard (his mark).
