    Nancy Brazeale Ezell was the daughter of James Brazeale who died and left a Will in Roane County, Tennessee and reads as follows:

    I James Brazeale of the county of Roane and State of Tennessee do make and publish this my last will and testament. hereby making void all other wills by me at anytime made.
    1. First, I recommend my soul to God who gave it and my body to dust from whence it came to be buried in a manner suitable to my condition in life.

    2. I give and bequeath to my son John G. Brazeale my plantation with all lands as may more fully be understood by references to my several deeds of conveyance with the present crop on the same except the land that my son Andrew J. Brazeale rented from me that the said Andrew J. Brazeale is to have the rent reserving in the aforesaid lands and plantations a lefetime estate for my daughter Mary Mahala Brazeale and also my daughter Sarah Brazeale which they are to have so long as they live single and remain on the said plantation.

    3. I give and bequeath to my son John G. Brazeale my wagon and one yoke of cattle. 4th I give and bequeath to my daughter Mary Mahaly my bay mare. 5th I give and bequeath to my daughter Sarah Brazeale my roan filly. 6th I give and bequeath to my daughter Margaret Blackburn my sorrel colt and one bed and furniture and staid. 7th I give and bequeath to my daughter Nancy Essell one bed and furniture. 8th I give and bequeath to my son Henderson C. Brazeale 8 head of sheep. 9th I give and bequeath to my son Andrew J. Brazeale 8 head of sheep. 10th all the remaining property to be sold in a twelve months credit and the money arising from the sale of same to be equally divided with all my sons..lastly I do appoint my friend and relation E. W. Brazeale my executor. Witness where of I do to this will set my hand and affix my seal this first day of August 1854 signed and sealed in the presence of:
