Obituary

DR. M.S. BLOTT DIES; DENTIST FOR 50 YEARS 

  Dr. Myron S. Blott, 78, of 240 Fairgreen Ave., a dentist here for more than 50 years, died of cancer at 7:40 a.m. today in North Side Hospital after a six-month illness.
    Dr. Blott was born March 16, 1890, in Youngstown, a son of Dr. Harmon E. and Cora Strauss Blott, and lived here all his life.  His father was a practicing physician here for more than 50 years.
   Dr. Blott was a member of First Christian Church, the BPOE No. 55; the Corydon Palmer Dental Society, where he had received a 50-year award; Ohio State Dental Society; Nison Study Club; the Academy International of Dentistry; the National Dental Society; and was a graduate of Western Reserve Dental School.
   Besides his wife, the former Gertrude Lewis, whom he married 51 years ago, he leaves a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Betty Albright Blott of Youngstown and a son, John L. of Youngstown; a sister, Mrs. Caroline Evans of Olmstead Falls, Ohio;  five grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
  Private funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in Tod Cemetery Chapel.  There are no calling hours.  The family requests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the Mahoning County unit of the American Cancer Society.  The body is at the Davis Volker Funeral Home.
