Mortimer and Byrd are found in the 1880, 1900, 1910 census record for Grant Dist. Harrison Co, WV. (But the 1910 census is indexed as 'Mortomore' Stout.) Byrd is on the 1920 census living with her son Earl W. and his wife in Clarksburg, Harrison Co, WV.

Mortimer's Middle initial W. from his son, Edward's death certificate; is also W on the cemetery reading and many of his children's birth records.
