In the 1870 Jane Lew Twp, Lewis Co Census she is a 14 year old child enumerated with the family of James Lorentz, but is not listed in age order with the other children, but is listed after the youngest Lorentz child and her name is Bird Reed.
On her marriage record to M. W. Stout, her name is Bird Lorentz.
On her daughter Jessie's death certificate, her name is Byrd Lawrence.
So it is a possibility that she was a Reed child that the Lorentz family either adopted or raised.
