The following Note provided by Bob Mitchell:
Family lore has it that Millard manufactured illegal whiskey, Moonshine, in the hollers of Decatur County. This was not an uncommon practice at that point in time in Tennessee. It was just another way of processing the corn crop. Millard was living alone on the 1930 Decatur Co., Tennessee Census with daughter Minnie.
