There passed away last week a very old and very highly esteemed resident of Rheola in the person of Mrs Mary Webb, relict of the late Mr Robert Webb, who carried on business here and at Kingower during the big gold rushes and for years afterwards. Mrs Webb had reached the age of 78 years, and has left two sons and four daughters. One daughter is the wife of Mr M. E. O'Brien, head teacher of a State school at Bendigo, and agricultural writer under the name of "Trefoil" for the Bendigo Independent. The two sons remain here. Two other daughters are also married, and one remains single. Mrs Webb, who died in Bendigo, was buried here on Friday. General sympathy is felt for the family.
