The family bible of Michael Frantz: written in German by himself in the family Bible, was owned at one point by his great-granddaughter, Agnes Kessler of LaFontaine, Indiana and translated from the German by Dr. D.C. Reber. In the Bible, Michael Frantz wrote:

I, Michael FRANTZ, was born 23 June 1764. My wife, Marian Elizabeth, was born 27 Feb. 1767. A daughter, Anna, was born September 27, 1788 A son, John, was born December 3, 1789 A daughter, Elizabeth, was born January 16, 1791 A son, Henry, was born March 11, 1794 A daughter, Susannah, was born January 23, 1797 A daughter, Magdalena, was born April 17, 1798 A daughter, Margaret, was born October 23, 1801 A daughter, Catherine, was born February 23, 1806 A son, Michael, was born February 10, 1810

The following facts were not found in the Bible but elsewhere. Noted in the Martin Wenger Family sheet:

Anna FRANTZ married Abraham URMEY, was paralyzed 16 years before death. John FRANTZ??? Elizabeth FRANTZ married Martin Wenger ( A Wenger line in Grant County, Indiana) Henry FRANTZ administrated the estate. Susannah FRANTZ ??? Magdalena FRANTZ married Henry Wingert, brother to Martin Wenger. Margaret FRANTZ married KINZIE. Catherine FRANTZ married KINZIE; after his death to John GISH. Michael FRANTZ, Jr. married Elizabeth Barnhart. they lived in Jalapa, Indiana. Their daughter, Elizabeth POGUE died August 19, 1942, age 100. Michael FRANTZ's first wife, Marian Elizabeth, died May 8, 1824. His Will was made at Fincastle, VA. 16 September 1833. In that will he mentioned his second wife Hannah, a second marriage.
