Will Abstract

Will of Matthew George of Hampshire County and Colony of Virginia, dated 7 Dec 1781.
Names "my dear wife", "sons James King George and Matthew Georg",
"I give all the messuge or tenement situated on the south fork whereon I live to my sons James King Georg and Matthew Georg".
"Also my will is that my land and moveable estate sold and provided that my land overmounts the movable estate then my sons James King Georg and Matthew Georg are to make to the rest of my children eaqual share".
"Also my will is that James King George to have the upper place and Matthew Georg my home place where one I live".
"Also my will that the land be [ap]praized by itself and my moveabel state by itself and to be divided in eaqual share among my children and provided that the land over run the movabel state for my two sons James King Georg and Matthew Geoorg both to pay to the rest of my children so far as to make them all eaqual alike from the oldest to the youngest all on eaqual one with the other".
"Also my will is that there is to be no sale of anything likewise I make George See and George Stump my right and lawful Executors of this my last will in trust for intent and purposes in this will contained."

At a Court held for Hampshire County the 14th day of May, 1782, this last will and testament of Matthew George, deceased, was presented in Court and proved by the oaths of James Sears and David Shook, the witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded. And on motion of Susanna George, the widow of the said decedent, Administration of the said Matthew's estate with the will annexed is granted unto her, she having made oath according to law. Certificate is granted here for obtaining a probate thereof in due form, giving, security. Whereupon she together with Samuel Dew & Joseph Nevill her securities entered into and acknowledged bond in the penalty of two thousand pounds for her due and faithful administration of the said decedent's estate and performance of his will.
