[Birth would be about Jan 1723, in Charlestown, according to this source. However, I cannot find any record of this child in Source:Charlestown, Suffolk, Massachusetts, United States. Vital Records to the Year 1850, either birth or death (nor in Watertown where James was from, nor in Boston where the next child was born). The next child, also named Mary, is born 2 May 1724, which leaves little time in May for the first Mary to die before the second child was named. Given the marriage in 1721, it makes sense there was a child born before the Mary b. 1724. It sounds somewhat like this might come from a gravestone?]
