Bold textMARY SHIELDSBold text, only known daughter of Daniel SHIELDS and wife, Mary, was born between 1775 - 1780 in Ireland. She immigrated to America with her parents and siblings about 1790. She married about 1798 in perhaps Hamilton County or Butler County, Ohio to John SINKEY. They were the parents of seven known children: Jane, Daniel, James, Isabella, Charlotte, Elizabeth, and John Jr. Her husband, John, died at 41 years of age on 10 April 1814 in Butler County, Ohio. She died between 1840 and 1850 in probably Lemon Township, Butler County, Ohio. --Grannyapple 19:26, 16 June 2009 (EDT)
