(census). In 1861 John Young (1812 St. Quivox, farmer of 400 ac, empl 10 men 2 boys 3 women), wife Mary (1813 Irvine), children (b. Maybole) Mary (1846), William (1848), John (1850), David (1852), Jane (1854), Elizabeth (1856) brother in law William B. Salmon (1809 Irvine, retd saddler) were at Genoch farmhse, Maybole, Ayrs.
