    " … either Francis Norton had two wives, Mary (_____) Phillips, born about 1600, whom he married in 1629, and Mary Houghton, born by say 1610, whom he married by 1633, or one wife, Mary (Houghton) Phillips, who was not aged 29 years in 1629 because she would have been too old to be the mother of three children under 21 in 1667. In any event, the wife with whom he immigrated was born Mary Houghton."
