  3. ↑ Source:Preble, George Henry. Genealogical Sketch of the First Three Generations of Prebles in America, p. 244, says Mary d. 14 Jun 1804, not 1808. A death record in either year has not been located. She gave birth to a child 27 May 1804, and Peter m. his second wife (Abigail James) in 1812. Peter Ripley the husband died in Boston 1830 so located of Cohasset is uncertain as well.
