  10.   Deaths index, in General Register Office. England and Wales Civil Registration. (London: General Register Office).

Two possible deaths for further investigation:
    d. Mary A. STAPLETON, June Quarter 1929, Lambeth Registration District, Volume 1d, page 141, aged 77 [1851/2] - age is slightly out but seems to be only plausible death in the London area.
    d. Mary A. STAPLETON, March Quarter 1937, Hemel Hempstead Registration District, Volume 3a, page 1616, aged 83 [1853/4] - age is right and district goes very close to where she had been born and brought up - perhaps she returned to that area after Henry's death.
