Source:Sutton, Worcester, Massachusetts, United States. Vital Records to the End of the Year 1849, p. 462, has the death of "Mary, w. John" on "March 8, 1735". It is ambiguous whether this is 1734/35 or 1735/36. Some people apply this to the 2nd wife, assuming it is 1735/36. Any other interpretation requires that it belong to the first wife Mary. Source:Greeley, George Hiram. Genealogy of the Greely--Greeley Family (370597), p. 115, reports the first wife died 8 Mar 1733. Since this source predates publication of the VRs, it seems likely that they were using the originals. Such a date would clearly apply to the first wife, and indeed, the Greeley Genealogy does not give a death date for either John or his second wife.
